Paranoid that Everyone Is Modding in AW

AndrewkoleAndrewkole Member Posts: 219
Last week I read a post about issues with teams modding at the top of AW. I never suspected anything before reading it. Last week we 100% got nodded against. One of our BGs just had the boss left to clear. Every time they died, the defender ended the fight with 100% health. 7-8 guys went it. Nothing. The match ended and we lost 20k points x 7 multiplier. It knocked us from mid Plat 2 to Plat 3.

This week our opponent is barely dying. Not saying they are modding. But how do I know they aren’t? Leadership is constantly watching the board... recording the opponent’s fights, asking each other “is it possible to take down that node so quickly with that attacker?”. We aren’t taking strategy. Just discussing if the opponent is cheating.

Anyone else feeling this way? Now that I know it is possible with no consequence, I’m having a hard time taking this seriously.

As far as i know all mcoc mods only affect the game for the person that is using it so if that person has a mod that makes his champions to take 0 dmg and you were to duel him or fight against one of his champs in aw, for you the fight would be a normal one.

There is a delay in AW, what you see is not always real time so it can appear they are a full health when they are dead, or they used a revive and healed.

I feel like ever since that post was made, there is always now discussion of modding in AW. Is it that prevalent of an issue that is occurring?

It is not that prevalent, it is just people now want to argue "this is not possible" because they cannot think of how it is possible.

The majority of the community isn't modding. It's the minority that is doing it but unfortunately those few who are breaking the tos are making everyone worry that the opponents are doing it. Could it have been a mod? Maybe? But really you want to believe they were just better than you and hopefully the game team takes a stronger stance on the modders hitting them with mass ban waves permanently removing them from our game

You have to watch when your defenders’ timers reset to 3:00 after opponents have moved to them. That’s how you know the fight has started. More videos of modding have been surfacing.

Mods being used are slight variations of what’s been flagged in previous seasons. Iceman receiving a full bar of power from 5 basic strikes + Yondu AI receiving almost no power when hit by special attacks + a fraction of psychic thorns damage taken was not flagged in the 1st round of docks. Although this specific modded fight and others have been sent to Kabam’s support team, the alliance using these mods is currently top 3 in master. Cleaning up AW Seasons is not high on Kabam’s list of priorities.

Right. Kabam changed it when a lot of alliances started cheating. Before that all of the health in wars showed up live. Now it shows after the fight . Kabam made cheating easier to cheat, or made it so less people didn’t send in as many tickets so they didn’t have to address the problem as much.

Um.... a defender can’t regain health. Their defender was regaining health back to 100% after each fight. People would take him down to like 30%, and when the fight ended he was back at 100% health. It made it impossible to clear. It was Korg on the boss spot, so no regen.

That is a bug, not modding. You cannot mod your defense, that is controlled by the server, they would have to hack into kabam's servers to be able to control the defense like that, which is not oat all practical. Modding only affects attackers.
