Mephisto's Soul Imprisonment not working on Medusa?

So was doing random duels with my mephisto when i dueled a medusa. Medusa shouldn't have been able to gain fury buffs when under Mephisto's soul imprisonment, but that didn't happened. So the question is, is this a bug or some mistake on my part?

Is assume because you’re stunned pacify reduced your aar so it wasn’t at 100% so she could gain buffs

Doesn't she have se active? It's like if a champ who has active bleed would shrug off a bleed while opponent is stunned
