How does Bonus attack works in AW 30 vs 29?

Hello All, i have questions vs points that we earned on our last AW (that just ended couple of min ago )

They were 29 and we were 30... they had 30 kills and we had 24 kills. (They did 5 on one node and another 4 and 4 on two others nodes) so we should calculate 26 for them and not 30... i got this

But by looking at the final result i realized that They lost 2 diversity points: by being 145 defendants champions (143 two havok and two imiw) potential of 145 minus 2 ... i got this one too... they were 29 ... total of 7 should not count

But..we only won by a margin of 300 points... how is it possible ... my question is concerning bonus attack ... how does it really work... is it a strategy to make the other team loose 5 potential full bonus attack?

I had in mind that having 5 less champs to fight will give us automatically 5 nodes full attack bonus points but it seem not? Im confused ? It seems they were not penalized for having only 29 players
Meaning that they ... had the potential to have 150 attack bonus nodes ... and ... that mean that we had only 145 potential attack bonus? ???

I taught we would win by at least 1000 points (5 nodes full bonus attack)

Thanks

Every node that could have a champion on it has a potential for 3 attack bonus. You have to still explore the empty nodes to gain said attack bonus.

I believe the total attack bonus is 165 per bg (someone will correct me if I'm wrong)

Each death or time out costs 1 attack bonus
    1 attack bonus = 80pts
You won by 300 points because you had 2 more attack bonuses (160pts)
    And 3 more diversity (90pts)

Thanks for your comment, so Based on your info it mean that mean that we had all our bonus ... we had 24 kills on 145 opponents vs them 30 (26) on 150 opponents ... so they did a better job but they still lost ... right ... if we would have fought against their 5 missing champs we could have had more kills and lost the war ... correct?

A defender kill doesn’t necessarily mean a lost attack bonus, you have 6 more defender kills but 2 more attack bonus because they died more than 3 times on a node, missing a member simply results in losing 5 diversity and having 5 nodes where the opponent gets full attack bonus, and having less participation is not a strategy for winning
