Can passive armor ups prevent plasma detonates?

Hi im currently trying to beat variant 3 3.2 with my r5 4* sentinel and i cant beat the recharge path, so i decided to try the crumbling armor enhanced armor up and enhanced armor break path and was wondering if sentinels passive armor up from his sp3 would prevent me from taking plasma detonates to the face
