Losing half health because of kabam servers needs to change....

After winning a mini boss battle in aw... game lost connection (yes full wifi service). Game restarted itself and got back and lost half health... they get a kill and the mini goes to full health... I know this isnt anything new but there needs to be a better option....

It happened to me in aq, I pressed fight, it wouldn’t load so I restarted the game then there I am at half health

I hate when that happens. If you finish the fight you shouldn't have to start over punished by half health.

The problem is it is pretty difficult to determine where the connection loss is at, even with that image you dont know it is on kabam's side. This is to get around those people who would just "pull the cord" to drop their network connection (airplane mode on mobiles) if they could get around dieing.

Completely agree. Don't know how much glory I spend on potions because the game times out or crashes. How is it my fault? Why am I getting penalized?

I definitely u derstand that and see how this can be taken advantage of but there needs to be a way to bypass this. It's very frustrating for alot of the community

Here are some of the primary options.

1) They could pause the game when the client or server detects an disconnect. The problem with this is it takes time for the system to detect a disconnect. This timeout setting can typically be adjusted, but that is not much help. The drawback to this option is that from the time of your last input to the time of the detected connection can be a few sextons, even at milliseconds though it could mean you would die at no fault of your own, lose of life, items resources.

2) to fix number 1 they could say ok we will roll back the game x amount of time based on the timeout setting. This means they have to save a continuous snapshot of every game which is very resource intensive. In addition people could use my previously mentioned pull the plug method to exploit in AW.

3) There are options to just reset the match but again that is even more exploitable then number 2.

so tell me how do you see something working that is not exploitable that helps with this?

Same exact thing just happened to me. Sneaky way to extract potions, Kabam. The bait was there, but I’m not biting. Not today.

I only bring champs to AQ/AW that can regen or fight well at very low health. But that doesn't mean I like it.

I feel that if they want to avoid exploits, everything on their side should be taken care of first. We honest players should not be punished for disconnects if the majority is on KABAM's end. If that means KABAM sales on potions go down because some people exploit it, they should suck the loss up until they fix things on their end. Only punish if you can say with certainty that the player caused the disconnect.
