Using the Wrong Class ISO to Level Up

I currently have a bunch of cosmic ISO in the stash about to expire but no cosmic champions I need to level up. I have a few mutant champs I could take up but I was wondering if anyone knows whether using the wrong class or basic ends up being cheaper in terms of gold? Obviously I know using the correct ISO is the cheapest option but am I better off selling the cosmic and using basic or just throwing the cosmic in to some other classes of champion?

Basic is ever so slightly cheaper but the difference is minor

I literally just used mystic ISO-8 from a mephisto dupe to help take Ægon to 3/45, since I used all most of my skill on blade. Doesn't really matter unless you are broke on gold
