Some champs get a pass (or two) on being affected by Parry

Just wondering if some champs are supposed to get one or two parries without being affected (Domino, Yondu, etc) while others you can parry immediately and whenever you want. Nothing in the descripts saying they should have special def against it.

It even says' "Parry" and they aren't stunned. Did I miss something?

Some of their attacks are projectile attacks which can avoid parry stun

Yondus arrow attacks cannot be parried. Domino has ability accuracy reduction which can cause parry to fail, in addition her second attack in a medium dash cannot be parried like Yondu. When is ays parry it means you did a "well timed block" and and the stun would trigger if it could, if not oh well.

Havok, and imiw as well as some others have the same issue, basically you can only parry physical hits, not ranged hits.

Also domino’s first light is projectile

This all is applicable for most champs. A few exist that can parry ranged attacks: Cull Obsidian is one example.

You can parry every non-unblockable attack. But you wont be able to stun if the attack is a projectile or a special

The correct term is contact. For instant Ebony Maw has all but one non-contact hits, so he is difficult to parry-stun.

    Parrying is always possible.
Stunning, however, will only trigger if the attack makes contact or is not a Special Attacks.
So things like Domino’s medium (pistols), Yondu’s lights (Yaka arrow), Iron Man Infinity War medium (energy blast), most of Maw’s basic attacks cannot be stunned, since they don’t make contact.

Some characters can still stun them even if the attack don’t make content. It’s the likings of Proxima Midnight, for example.

Also ability accuracy reduction can cause this. For example BW can ignore parries sometimes. So can Elektra if you’re under a debuff.

Correction. The attacks are all parried (so they all get the damage reduction). AAR or projectile based attacks may avoid the resulting stun. As long as it says 'Parry' the parry itself is succesful and you reduce block damage.
