Pre-Fight abilities in AWD

So... would it at all be possible to implement a way for a defender to use their pre-fight ability since it is a part of the champion's kit (unlike synergies)?

Maybe have the option of selecting the pre-fight ability to activate upon a chosen defense of the node: i.e. activate on 1st defense, 2nd defense or 3rd defense?

It just seems odd all other champs get to use their entire kits on defense, but a champion like HT's kit is completely cut in half (sig and pre-fight ability is useless on defense).

    The tricky part of this is that allowing pre-fight abilities in AWD adds an additional constraint on their design. If pre-fight abilities were usable in AWD, one of two things would happen. One possibility is that the devs continue to give really good pre-fight abilities to champions, and then we have to face them in AW. The other more likely possibility is the devs decide, either on their own or because too many players complain, to tone down all future pre-fight abilities to reduce their impact on the players when they are used on defense, which would mean we'd be getting pre-nerfed pre-fight abilities on all future champions to avoid that problem.

    So long as the devs don't have to worry about what happens when the players face them, they can get much more interesting and creative with pre-fight abilities. Making them unusable in AWD seems to be a reasonable price to pay to have better PFAs.

    Pre-fight Ability in AW Defense would also mean that those heroes in normal and special quests and AQ would also potentially be tossing their pre-fight ability at you (in whatever way the AI has been programmed to activate them against you).

    They won’t make it so that they work in one type of defense and not another type of defense.

    I believe the OPs intent is to allow players to flip the pre-fight ability on when they place defenders so they are available to the AI when those defenders are attacked if the players choose to flip them on. I don't think they are suggesting that the AI have control over whether they are flipped on in the first place, so the AI in AQ wouldn't have the ability to turn on the pre-fight abilities on their own.

    Let us have the ability to choose which defense of a node (1-3) a PFA activates.
