Electro got shocked by Doom

I was fighting last Doom in montlhy event with Electro and he got shocked.

But one more thing... Doom is shock immune avoiding to his description. But he is taking direct damage back when hitting my electro. If this is a shock direct damage, shouldn't Doom be immune?

When you get shocked, it only hurts a little bit for a little amount of time
When you hit Electro, you get shocked.
Shocks don't hurt all that much, but they can if the fight is long and the hits are high

No, it should not.
Static shock is just a name for the ability. Is irrelevant to the actual ability itself, which deals energy damage and energy damage only
