Is Corvus Better Than Everyone?

I may not be the most experienced player or be a whale enough to have a strong arsenal of 5 and 6 stars, but I've got a decent amount of awesome champs, such as Stark Spidey, SS, GR (my only God tier 5 Star), X23 (incredible bleeder), Void (amazing for boss fights), Quake, AEgon (just got him) and more. But in all my playing, none of them are holding a candle to how Corvus and how well he can just clean up in matches.
Is there any other champion that you all have found that is similarly useful?

When certain conditions apply, there are a few other champs that can question him (Quake, Ghost, Omega, Domino). These conditions can be certain nodes, very long fights, full synergy teams, full sig level required, etc.
But generally speaking, if you have him, at any rarity level, max him out without second thoughts.
But as I grind through most content, Corvus has been my go-to.

3. Nodes that inflict debuffs, which she can convert to Precision buffs.
Corvus needs nothing, although he is benefited by suicides.
Quake is terribly unreliable and depended on AI reactions. If they use heavy, good luck dodging that.
This "short fight" thing is the most common misconception about him.
His potential strongly decreases in nodes like fisticuffs, pilfer, tranquility etc. if you don’t play smart you’ll be dead in the half of the match in longer fights.
For what he is as a standalone champ, Corvus is arguably one of the best. He definitively does have his counters which render him ineffective, but then again so does everyone else (to varying degrees). He's by no means the answer to everything, but he is usually the most effective and convenient choice when he is.
One of the most common arguments against Corvus is that he's only effective in shorter fights, but this particular argument fails to acknowledge Corvus' capacity to reliably turn longer fights into short fights that he can handle (given he has enough charges). Of course, this is true only to a certain extent, as health pools only start to grow larger throughout endgame content.
One of his best assets is arguably his very reliable armour break on parry, which also triggers an additional armour break per armour up buff on the opponent. This effectively dispatches of annoying defender mechanics such as KM's reverberation, Emma's diamond form, Red Skull's armour up stacks, Mysterio's helmet, Iceman's Ice armour, BPCW's stun reflection - the list goes on. It also has interesting interactions with armour-based nodes like Explosive Personality, which is fun.
His awakened ability is also very handy, allowing Corvus to cheat death fight after fight, with careful play. This combined with his unique set of Glaive immunities (Bleed, Coldsnap, Shock) and the fact that he great benefits (and heals) from suicides, means you have a very well-rounded, high-potential champ that you can always rely on to dish out significant damage before going down.
from someone that just beat the Collector for the first time... YESTERDAY!!! I also have a R5 Corvus and R5 Quake. I love Corvus, he's great. That's why I R5ed him. But take him into content with high health pools or against any champs or nodes that nullify and he automatically becomes a trash champ, and while he counters a lot, Quake and Ghost counter more. Speaking of Quake, it is 100% possible to dodge every single heavy attack in this game with her (other than maybe Masacre and M.O.D.O.K, haven't checked, someone let me know if you can). Absolutely none of her play style depends on AI, it depends on your skill, which you must be lacking in if you're hating on Ghost and Quake.
Regardless of whether or not I agree, I can see where he's coming from. Fluid Ghost gameplay without at least the Wasp synergy can be difficult to master (kudos to you if you can pull it off fight after fight). On the other hand, Corvus is far less reliant on synergies.
Quake is also similarly non-reliant on synergies, and I do regard her as one of the top champs in the champs. However, there are two arguments you could feasibly make against in the Quake-Corvus debate:
- fights last longer (on average) with Quake = more time to make mistakes
- mistakes are more costly with Quake (due to CG's cheat death mechanic)
- it is easier to pull off a full path clear with Corvus than with Quake, simply due to the fact that mastering Quake and playing her perfectly fight-to-fight is very difficult
Of course, all of the above issues are completely irrelevant if you happen to be a perfect or near-perfect Quake player. But some people aren't, and Corvus is a fantastic 'pick up and go' champ who unreservedly remains one of the best options for recurring content such as EQ and Map 5/6 AQ.
As a quick side note, in regards to your comment regarding CG being a 'trash champ' against high health pools - at 5r5 (particularly with suicides), he's still effective even across Act 6, and can rip through a good 75-80% of 6.1 completion with relative ease.
