How to get 1 (one) 5* shard?

For months I have been chased by one fact: All 5* shards are dealt in amounts, that can be divided by 5 (5,10,15 etc.). In the last months, I've found myself stuck with 9999 5* shards couple times and I can't see any way how to make my amount of shards a multiple of 5. Any ideas ?

Selling a 4* champ can give a varying amount of 5* shards based on rank/level. You could probably work it to where it’d put your total back into a multiple of 5 although it not usually a good idea to sell 4*s.

Not a full aw reward gives you weird non round numbers, for example if you just rush to the boss and don’t get much exploration
