Excess Sig Stones in Stash, KABAM convert to 2X or 5X?

Has anyone had any luck getting Kabam to convert single 5 star sig stones into multiples or 2X or 5X, that were purchased during Cyber Weekend.

In the past they had done this when we purchased the 5 star enhancement crystals that awarded 80 sig stones of 1 class.

Now KABAM support is telling me this is not possible?

I thought items bought with real money were not allowed to expire via Apple TOS? Maybe I’m wrong.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

I tried, they won’t do it. I’m sure they CAN, but claim they can’t (won’t).

You're one of many dealing with this exact issue. Its really frustrating being told by support that they did this before as an exception for this exact scenario but can't/won't do so now. Why was someone's money worth doing it before but ours isn't now?

The difference was before was a random class so there was no way of knowing if it would put you in overflow or not.
This time you knowingly bought an excess amount of generic sig stones.

I guess I don’t understand why they “can and did” do this for the 5 star enhancement crystal but won’t in this situation.

How are we to know when they will change policy and procedure when buying sig deals that may overflow us. When the next enhancement crystal is offered should we not purchase it if it will overflow any possible class?

Insight from KABAM, would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Because I assumed they would convert to a different multiple. Guess it is my fault for assuming the company would take care of their paying customer.

Time to sig up a crappy champ I suppose.

I'm pretty sure that's not the only time this has ever been done. I'd like to go ahead and buy the $30 unit pack but not if the stones will just go to the stash. I can't speak for anyone else but I'm trying to preemptively prevent this issue before making the purchase, I'd love an explanation as to why they decided to do all +1 in every deal knowing this is where it would end up.

    I'm pretty frustrated with this.
I have 170 generic sig stones in my stash that expire in less that 14 days.
175k 5* shards saved so far for the new featured 5* crystal that comes out in 17 days.
I'm personally on ticket #2 and my next step is to call the Apple App Store to make a formal complaint.

I fortunately won't have to go that far but I'm on my third ticket because all I get is a generic copy and paste response followed by being ignored. Like I said i just dont get why they made every deal +1 knowing so many people would end up in this position or why support won't just do a quick conversion like they did before. We're the customers, they're customer service, service your damn customers while we're pumping money into your product.

Obviously you aren't in a top 20 ally in the middle of a prestige race.

"Support" said no. Why the hell would they give out that many single stones? Did they not see this coming?

Also, isn't is an Apple rule that purchased items can't expire?

Yup it's really annoying they would put these deals out knowing this is where it would go and then refuse to remedy the situation in ways they've done in the past. As always their customer service or lack thereof defies logic.

Wish they would've sold the +5 version instead, problem solved.

Make sure you save the units or whatever else came in the package and don't use the stones so you can return the full value of what you're looking to get refunded. And if you're going for a refund, which I totally get doing, I'd probably start off going through Kabam support first before going straight to Apple if you intend on any future purchases.

This just seems really poorly planned out and handled in Kabams end. It's so obvious how this would play out that it almost feels intentional on their part. More often than not people buying generic stones are doing so to save for future champs so why even set it up like this knowing it's going to provide a negative experience for their customers?

Why will they close it I see nothing bad about it except the truth

Because it hurts the company and they don’t want that.

Apparently sharing the emails on the forum they don't like. If only they took that kind of stance when it comes to doing right by their customers in situations like these.

They may want to check the iOS terms of use.. if a vendor sells something for $$ on apples platform.. that item can't expire in-game.. they tried the same thing with the T5cc crystal at the end of 6.3.. they didn't list the amount of frags from the crystal as per the iOS terms of service.. i pointed that out to them.. the next day they had that crystal listed..

If someone has an issue with the sig stones they used real $4 to obtain.. you should look up the iOS terms of use and quote that section to Kabam.. you may also want to report to apple that there is a vendor who is violating their terms..

I would post the apple TOS that applies to this.. but pretty sure kabam would then remove the post..

After a couple attempts with Kabams support they won't convert them. @Kabam Miike any chance you could give us some insight as to why the deals were all built with +1 stones knowing that so many would go straight to the stash and your guys downright awful support wouldn't help resolve that issue? I'd seriously love to hear some logic behind it.

Any credits or in-game currencies purchased via in-app purchase may not expire, and you should make sure you have a restore mechanism for any restorable in-app purchases.

the not expiring does not apply to consumables.

I'd just really love to hear some reasoning from someone representing Kabam regarding why the deals were made like this. I literally want to give them money on another unit pack but don't have someone I want to use the stones on right now, yet support refuses to give anything outside of a copy and paste B.S. response following by immediately closing the ticket. Why can't they drop anything ever without some sort of issue surrounding it.

This is part of the response I got

“ In this particular situation, we are unable to provide you with the conversion of the signatures stones from that purchase. This is due to each offer having been outlined showing what its contents were and the quantities they came in, it is up to the Summoner to determine if there is enough space in their inventory to accommodate said items. In the past, we had offered a conversion of signatures stones that were granted through a newly introduced crystal that provided a large number of class signature stones but were subject to crystal drop rates, which caused issues for some Summoners.”

I still don’t understand why they couldn’t just convert them into +2 or +5 stones. Granted that would probably be time consuming on their part but it would have been a fix for offering so many +1 stones in the first place. Not sure of the other tier offers but the Caviler offer got me 180 generic Sig stones and kabam knows that in the endgame we aren’t going to be using the Sig stones on random champs... they will be going to our High prestige champs now or in future pulls. Not right to force us to use them within 2 weeks. They could have at the very least raised the expiration date on them to 30 days.

Exactly where I'm coming from. I almost bought the extra pack assuming support would help out their customers, especially considering how much money is being spent over this weekend and instead I was basically told to shove it and my reply didnt even go through as they closed the ticket. So if they're going to outright refuse to be of any assistance I'd like some sort of reasoning explained why on the 4th the deals all came with +5 stones but now they're +1 and the unit deals alone give 200 of them. So this wasn't a case of "decide what your inventory can hold" because it wasn't just sig stones you were buying, they came as part of a larger package. I'm just really getting frustrated by the whole thing and I'd like some assistance or some explanation, sadly being that it's Kabam I expect neither.
  • Hey y'all -

It looks like wires got crossed at some point somewhere on what to do about these items going to the stash. Firstly, I'd like to apologize for that confusion and secondly I'd like to apologize because there isn't a way to actually do what y'all are writing into Support about.

However, I'll be sure to take all the feedback you're giving about how many of these Stones you've received. It's definitely frustrating having items sent to the Stash only for them to expire.

In the meantime, I'm closing this thread down and removing the prior thread that said to write in. That information provided was incorrect. The items you received are the items you purchased, we cannot change that.
