Blades Value...

So after the shopping spree of Cyber Weekend...I have the resources to rank 5 Blade 5* and awaken him...is he still worth the bump?

I have others I can pop but wanted to limit this to Blade...thoughts?

What is this Blade slander??? I understand he is not the best champ in the game anymore, but he is still one of the cheapest. Yes, you won’t use him in every path of Act 6. But he is useful there, and all content below that (minus V2 and V3).

He is still 3rd best Skill champ behind Ægon and NF, IMHO.

Yes, top players won’t have much use for him, but for everyone not running Map 7 and still have a lot of story content to complete, you can’t go wrong with Blade.
Ghost or quake are cheaper than Blade if you can use them and they both work for end game content. Taking zero damage the entire fight > having to block to regen damage you've taken. Blade is just easier to use
I don’t disagree with that statement. I’m just not sure why you are making it since they are the best 2 champs in the game, so that is a true comparison of any other champ along with Blade. Not exactly intelligent or obscure or even helpful. But this is the internet, so I guess you are free to type whatever you want.
You used survivability/cheapness as a reasoning for Blade still being a top champ. I listed two champs that are better at that and also still excel in late game content.

For the hundredth time, yes I'm sure that players that have Blade raked up for a long time can still utilize him today effectively in some situations, I just don't think it's right to sell him as a TOP option for a new rankup anymore is all. He doesn't even get close to a top 10 and more than likely top 20 list of champs in game at the moment. Sure he may be around the 3rd best skill champ but outside aegon and fury, skill is really weak
You speak as if everyone has every champ available. For example, I still have no aegon, NF, Corvus, ghost, namor, and many other good champs yet I’ve completed everything but exploration of 6.2 and 6.3. Everyone should look at their roster and what content they still haven’t completed and make an educated decision based on whether a champ will help them further progress. I took Colossus to r5 because I’ve used him for havok boss in 6.3.3 (run 5 of 6 paths so far, haven’t take that mysterio path yet with acid wash) and I know he’s definitely not a top 10 or 20 champ which seems to be your criteria for taking a champ r5.

Well of course there's a difference between someone being YOUR best option and someone being a top option in general. Hence why I said Blade is still a good champ. He's just not a top option anymore is all I said. I'm just trying to get people to stop talking like he's one of the top champs in the game still.

Yeah I agree he is definitely not a top 10 champ and not close to what he used to be, I would still say top 20 champ though I think, but that’s just an opinion. I understand what your saying, I’m just saying that he is still a viable option to rank up but he definitely isn’t the no brainer choice he used to be. Like everything with this game it’s dependent on your roster, availability of resources, and current progression in the game.

Decent option, definitely better options, though. He might be your best option, but he might not be.
I wouldn't R5 Blade personally but if that's who you are dead set on ranking, go for it.

I’m still using him in 6.1/6.2/6.3. He’s not as useful in 6.3. But 6.2 he did a lot for me. If you don’t have many rank 5s then blade is still a solid choice. He doesn’t need high sig and does a lot even without synergies.

Those who are disagreeing either don’t have him or don’t know how to use or maybe any other reason.
I’m using him from past 2 years and he done miracles to me . Whether Act 5/6/ or varaints or uncollected etc.
I know there are many brutal champs introduced after him who can do high end damage but Blade is blade. He only need GR with him most of the time but let alone he is also a killer while doing fights without synergies
