Yup, as long as you have charges up he won't die from plasma detonation.

Yes he cant die from anything while he still has charges. Poison, incinerate, degen, passive DoTs, etc...

If you get hit enough to lose your charges or get hit by a heavy or special which would put immunity on cooldown, then you'll die
