Why does Thing take the shock dmg from electro when attacking when it says that he is immune to shock?

When attacking into electro the damage you take isn't shock damage it's considered either energy damage or direct damage I forget which one exactly

I think it says static shock which later goes on to say energy damage.

Hey there, the damage from hitting Electro is pure Energy damage, not a Shock effect, so Thing isn't immune to it.
