Dr. Strange was the one I don't understand. If you made a mistake it could take you 1 - 4 fights to get back to full health.

It could, but it was unlikely to take that long. That 50% steal was huge, and it stacked with armor break. If you played your cards right you could get huge bursts of healing.

Still what they have done now has made him plain useless. Especially since he has no 5* variant. Once the best champ in the game is now just an arena fodder. And they promised us that these champs would remain good after 12.0.1 (or 12.1 i don't remember which was it)

He is still actually pretty good. Kabam didn't promise everyone would believe he was still good.

And I know that outside of the vocal minority, Strange is still seen as a pretty good champion among the majority of players, because his basic arena scoring placed his relative demand much higher than you'd expect for a champion that was just arena fodder.

I went for Strange as a Basic but not becuase I thought he was good, just because I could never pull him. When he was back in the day under the old arena system people put up 10 million plus for him. The arena scores for him after the nerf and with the new arena system were pretty low, I got him for around 3 million which is nothing. He is at r3/30 and will remain there forever unless kabam returns him to his former glory at some point.

Can someone please explain how we the community let Kabam Double nerf BW as far as AW is concerned. The one reason (Thorns nodes) why you really bring her to AW she is now wholesomely ineffective. If you have to face a 5* Mutant Champion the damage you deal is no where near enough compared with the sustainability of a 5* with boosted health, add to that class disadvantage so said 5* mutant naturally hits harder and the boosted attack power, and the fact that they reduce BW signature ability ever further than it was initally nerfed down to, I just don't understand how we the community allowed Kabam to steal a tool from our tool box.
Yeah it sucks your right. Then they came out with Gwenpool and archangel who can crush thorns nodes. BW nerf was a business decision. It makes the new champs more sought after. Kabam hit a arena dry spell around red hulk and she hulk areanas. So they nerfed the old champs hard to make the new ones worth grinding for.

Ultron has always hit like that. pillow hands

Nah, he used to actually crit a lot and his uppercut was mean when you had him at 5/50.

Lol at the flag, what for? All I said is aUltron used to hit criticals a lot and had a mean uppercut. He was also nerfed with the other champs in this discussion. Some of you guys just crack me up.

I never really noticed any difference with Ultron personally. Still has his same uses, and fights have always taken long.

No repeat basic has gone for more than about 3 million and Dr. Strange was a basic before: in December 2015 (he scored about 3.5 million then, which was a respectable score at that time). Magik, still considered a very strong champion went for about 3 million both rounds. Scoring 2.3 and 2.6 million as a repeat basic is a very high score that only Magik, Captain America WWII, and X-23 have been able to beat to date in the new arena format. Adjusted for score inflation and the changes in 14.0 which happened before Cap and X-23 were the basic, Strange generated more scoring effort than any repeat basic except for Magik.

So Kabam nerfed her by allowing mutants to be placed on thorns node in war?

That's just smart strategy by your opponent...

No read again they double nerfed her.. They reduced her signature ability from pre-12.0 100.1% to 69.99% right and then they add the little caveat that she lose an additional 15% when facing a mutant opponent. So by doing so effectively made:
    1. Mutants the only smart option for Thorns nodes in AW
    2. BW a not so good choice anymore for combating thorns nodes since a 5* Mutant ranked high enough will outlast her any day of the week now.

The other side of that is she gains 15% with Class Advantage. Probably best to use a Tech Champ either way. That wasn't a nerf. It was a buff.

    Lol...lol...lol...lol...a buff...lol...lol...lol

Technically, yes. The result of the changes was 70(69)%. It's a buff against Science. Unfortunately, it works the other way against Mutant. The majority of the game provides a similar effect. Class Advantage always provides added Damage. In this case, it's more prominent. As for whether people were satisfied with it, clearly not. Most people wanted her returned to the way she was, and that wasn't likely to happen.

just use crossbones then or send someone in your ally with a crossbones to deal with thorns.. cuz 99% of the time its a mutant.. and crossbones can do what bw cannot do

These days I see Mordo on that node more than half the time. Crossbones is not the best choice to face a Mordo on a thorns node. Even though my alliance is not a particularly high tier in AW I wouldn't use Crossbones on offense in AW. In AQ he's fine, but too much of a liability against mystic champs, and there are a lot of good defensive mystics: Magik, Dormammu, Mordo, Juggernaut. Even Hood and Dr. Strange on some nodes (unblockable special two I still see Strange occasionally).

na I run crossbones all the time in aw as part of my 2nd tier squad if aq is going on the same time.. I run mystic lens though so don't get caught up fighting mystic champs with cb.. but most of the times in tier 1-2 I see some sort of mutant champ on thorns.. ive seen mordo here and there but he usually dosent get very many kills.

so 100% ability accuracy reduction against all to 85% against science and 55% against mutant is a buff?

Yes we get it, she is still useful in Tier 20 AW where you are competing but collectively speaking, she went from the queen of AW to the handmaiden of AW, the clock struck midnight and the magic disappeared.
