Should I upgrade 4 stars

I started playing 5 months ago and recently opened my first 5 star (Mordo). Now as 6 stars are coming, should I stop upgrading my 4 stars to rank 4 (I only have 2 R4-40 champs now) and concentrate only on 5 stars ?

I am struggling with the same although I am further along in the game. Not sure anymore. I could rank 5 a highly duped 4* ultron or aou vision or could rank 3 an unduped 5* iron man (would never).

Honestly if I hold the cats they will expire in stash before 6* come around, so I am likely to rank what will make game play easiest now within reason and deal with later. If I am still playing

You are right. But I was wondering whether I should rank up a 4 star only when resource expiration is looming and fully concentrate on 5 stars. I am not yet able to rank up a 5 star to rank 3 , so 4 star ranking up made sense. Now I totally confused.
I was also wondering whether they would reduce the resource requirement for ranking up 5 stars

I answered a question like this on another thread. at the end of the month, you will only receive 6* shards from duping 5*. Well, then you need to concentrate on getting 5* shards. How does one do that? content and wars. From the sounds of your account, your best option would be to get a full team of 4* upgraded for clearing content, aw, and aq, while upgrading GOOD 5* that come your way. Yes, 6* are the future, but you need to upgrade your current roster to get to the content that rewards 6*. Think of it as the bridge of 3* to 4*. Until you have/had a full roster of 4*, most players still upgraded certain 3* for defense or help with certain content. Thats where 4* will be, but they are not there yet, and it will be some time
