About Venom’s Om Nom

So, each hit of Venom’s SP1 has a chance to remove a buff on the opponent and heal Venom a amount of health.

But, is this Om Nom considered a Nullify? Or is it something of it’s own? For instance: would Venom be able to Om Nom something on Thing, who is Nullify-immune? Or is it affected by nodes like “Enemy's nullify abilities has 80% chance to fail”?
