Best option for LoL

I have Ghost at 5/65 Sig 160 and Aegon at 4/55 Sig 140. Could anyone suggest the better champ and team for a first run through from those two choices?
I'm still a couple of months away from taking Aegon to R5, so another option is to wait.

I'd say aegon is still the better choice. While ghost is quite good, once aegon gets to 999 hits, the rest of the path is basically clear.

I recommend Aegon with Angela, Hela, Heimdall, and Star Lord. You can also swap in Nick Fury, DPX, and Quake for the Angela, Hela, Star Lord set if you want to use a slightly more risky run with suicides.

Finally, you can use Thor or Loki in place of hela or star lord and pick up some healing in exchange for streak protection or an extra cheat death.
