Regarding acorn event

So i have exhausted my squirrel store, should i keep hoarding nuts? Are they releasing any crystal or something to spend nuts on?

I think they mentioned on a post that there will be a special squirrel store once the event is over to use any leftover acorns

I think they said that you'll be able to trade in the nuts for other items when the event ends. Small amounts of gold and shards I think.
