Fighting Void - Weakness node

Hello,
This might be stupid but I feel that weakness's interaction while fighting Void is not right, and I don't know if that's a bug or not.
I think weakness acts as if it's one of Void's debuffs, and the attacker suffers damage from it.
I read Void's description and the node's description and it doesn't say on either that the attacker should take damage from weakness.

Any debuff works with Void ability.
