Ice Armor

AQ Map 4 fighting against second mini boss Ronin with iceman. I pushed him to special 3 with my ice armor still up and He took off 62% with his special 3. Not right. Now just curious I did it again to see, and he KO’d me. Is there something with Ronin that he bypasses the ice armor cap, or is iceman bugged?
