Abilities Superhuman strength, speed, endurance, agility, durability, reflexes, and senses Force fields Energy beams Flight
Powers and abilities Originally, Captain Britain's powers were linked to the mystical Amulet of Right, worn around his neck. When Brian Braddock rubbed the amulet he was transformed from an ordinary mortal into a superhero version of himself, complete with a more muscular physique. The amulet could also mystically replenish his superhuman energies.[citation needed] He possessed a telescoping staff to vault which had other functions, the most heavily relied upon being the ability to project a force field. Later, Merlyn changed the staff into the mace-like Star Sceptre, which Captain Britain could utilize like a quarterstaff and which gave him the ability of flight.[65] Merlyn changed his costume just before he entered the alternate Earth-238, fusing the powers of the Amulet and the Scepter into the new uniform and then later put these powers within Captain Britain himself when he was forced to rebuild Captain Britain following Captain Britain's death at the hands of the Fury, making the suit a regulatory device for his powers.[66] Eventually, Captain Britain no longer required even the battle-suit for the full use of his powers, as his heritage of being the son of a denizen of the extra-dimensional Otherworld became enough to power him.[67]
Brian Braddock has superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, reflexes, senses, and the ability to fly at supersonic speeds. He possesses enhanced perceptions that allow him to be aware of things others may miss (such as objects cloaked by spells of illusion).[68] When he and Meggan destroyed the Otherworld energy matrix at Roma's prompting[volume & issue needed], the energies that allowed him to retain his power within the UK without his costume were dissipated. Hence, to retain his powers anywhere on Earth, he must wear the costume at all times.[citation needed] His costume acts as an antenna and battery, allowing him to retain his powers wherever he goes.
However, the conditions of his power were once again changed during his death and resurrection in the first story arc of Captain Britain and MI: 13 as explained by writer Paul Cornell,
As we reveal in issue five, the limits of Captain Britain's powers are now tied into his emotions. So if he's feeling very determined and confident, then he's very powerful, but if he's losing it then he'll really be losing it. He's as strong as he used to be, and he can fly, and that's all due to his magical nature, not to his costume. I've always seen him as something like the Shazam Captain Marvel, a hero formed through magic. Which means the subjective nature of what he can now do feels apt to me. As he himself says about great feats depending on whether or not he can gather all his courage together, he says: "well, I am Captain Britain."[69]
Captain Britain is the fraternal twin of Betsy Braddock, a telepath and his ultimate successor, resulting in a strong psychic bond between the two. As described by writer Chris Claremont in the Uncanny X-Men House of M storyline, the two are in fact immune to each other's powers because of their genetic connection.[70]
In addition, Braddock is a brilliant scientist with a Ph.D. in physics.
Big Bertha (geb. Ashley Crawford , legal geändert in Bertha Crawford )
Big Bertha (geb. Ashley Crawford , legal geändert in Bertha Crawford )
Abilities Skilled aircraft pilot Superhuman strength and durability Ability to alter size and mass of her body and leap great distances
Powers and abilities Big Bertha has the ability to make herself superhumanly strong and durable (to the point of being bulletproof) by becoming extraordinarily obese. She has suggested that her abilities are actually based on an increase and manipulation of her body mass, so that she could selectively increase the fat distribution in specific parts of her body to make them larger.[volume & issue needed] Big Bertha can also leap great distances and purge most fat from her body through vomiting to take on a slimmer appearance.[24]
In addition to her mutant powers, Ashley is also a skilled pilot of conventional jet aircraft.
Ares Gott des Krieges Chaos War Ares (God of War Ares)
(God of War Ares)
Abilities Expert armed combatant Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes superior to that of most Olympians Magic manipulation Immunity to all diseases and infections Virtual immortality Shapeshifting
Powers and abilities Ares belongs to a race of inter-dimensional deities known only as the Olympians. He possesses the base superhuman physical attributes of an Olympian, including superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, reflexes, and virtual immortality, though some of his powers are substantially greater than most other Olympians.
Like all Olympians, Ares is superhumanly strong, though far more so than the majority of his race. Among the Olympians, his physical strength is equaled only by his uncles, Neptune and Pluto, and is exceeded only by his father, Zeus, and his half-brother, Hercules. Ares' body and metabolism generates almost no fatigue toxins during physical activity, granting him virtually inexhaustible superhuman stamina in all physical activities. Ares' body is also highly resistant to physical injury. He can withstand great impact forces, energy discharges, temperature extremes, and falls from great heights without being injured. However, also like all other Olympians, he can sustain injury; once, after an extensive self-imposed exile on the Earthly plane, Ares was physically vulnerable enough to be injured and downed by mere bullets.[49] At the same time Ares has been shown withstanding being shot at point-blank range from machine guns used by War Machine.[50] Ares is functionally immortal in the sense that he is immune to the effects of aging and hasn't aged since reaching adulthood. He is also immune to any known terrestrial disease or infection.
While not as accomplished at magic as many of his fellow Olympians, and lacking the ability to fly,[51] project energy[52] and teleport,[53] as an Olympian god Ares has the potential to use magic. Ares can sense the presence of other gods, demons, and the use of magic, call other gods, and transport himself to Olympus and to Earth at will on certain occasions (such as abandoning his station as the God of War to lead a mortal life, or when retreating to Olympus after Hercules wounded him in a fierce battle with Kyknos).[54] However, neither his rudimentary magic nor his Olympian natural abilities were capable of overwhelming the Merlin-tutored Morgan le Fay or preventing the mistress of the mystic arts from easily transmuting him into stone.
He is, as fits his station as the Olympian God of War, a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, possessing fighting skills superior to that of even his father Zeus and his sister Athena; Nate Grey described him as "war personified, on every plane...in every future" and admits that even he can find nothing to counter one such as Ares; when Nate hid himself and Mimic "amongst time", Ares was able to tear through the fabric of time itself to reach and overpower him (claiming that such could not "limit" him), the temporal conflict sending ripples across the stars and disrupting the timestream itself.[55] In another instance, apparently without aid, Ares was able to somehow bring himself and Alexander to another dimension, where many gods of Earth, including the Council of Skyfathers, had convened to judge his son's worthiness as the 'God of Fear'.[56] Ares was also able to somehow create the man-eating Stymphalian birds "as a perfect expression of his own essence" ages ago,[57] and was also able to send his son Monstro from 1805 through time into the mid-20th century as punishment for his renouncing war and change him into a sixty-foot tall giant.[58] He is also an expert with numerous weapons, including ancient weapons and conventional, modern-day firearms. In his earlier appearances, he typically carried Olympian weapons like battleaxes, spears, swords, daggers, and a javelin (which has been said to at least once be his "favorite" weapon), but his most recent appearance shows him favoring a mixture of ancient, like the jawbone of an ass, and modern weapons, like gases, rays, firearms, and high-explosives, as well as "Hydra blood bullets", which contain the lethal blood of a Lernaean Hydra. He is an aficionado, expert, and collector of the most unusual instruments and methods of death dealing, as well as being well-versed in torture, interrogation, and combat tactics.
Superhuman Durability: The tissues of Ares' body are considerably harder and more resistant to physical injury than the body of a human being and most gods.[41] Ares is capable of withstanding great impact forces, exposure to extremes in both temperature and pressures, falls from great heights, and powerful energy blasts without sustaining injury in a level comparable to Thor. He takes full advantage of his great durability by performing many actions that would normally kill a human being. He has gone as far as Kamikaze feats and even lighting himself on fire and charging against his opponents as a living fireball. However, enchanted godly weapons such as Mjolnir, capable of destroying mountains upon impact, have been shown to injure him.[41]
Superhuman Agility: Ares' agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
Superhuman Reflexes: Ares' reflexes are in levels that is beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete.
Limited Magic Ability: While not as accomplished at magic as many of his fellow Olympians, Ares can sense the presence of other gods, demons, and the use of magic, call other gods, summon weapons from Olympus, and transport himself by teleportation to Olympus and to Earth at will. However, despite his limited magical skill, according to Amadeus Cho, Ares cannot fly,[42] unlike certain others of the Olympian Twelve, such as his half-siblings Athena, Hermes, or Aphrodite. Even though not accomplished at magic, as an Olympian god Ares has the potential to use magic,[41] and recreated Olympus after being wounded in a battle with .[43]
True Immortality: Like all Olympians, Ares is functionally immortal, more truly so than the Asgardians or Kami, who are merely considered long-lived, meaning he cannot die by any conventional means.[40] He has not aged since reaching adulthood and is immune to the effects of aging.[40] He is also immune to all known Earthly diseases and infections.[41]
Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite Ares' high degree of resistance to physical injury, like all Olympians, he can be injured. However, Ares is capable of repairing damaged or destroyed tissue with superhuman levels of speed and efficiency. If injured, he can fully recover from penetration wounds in anywhere from minutes to hours, depending on the wound's severity.[41] Despite of his ability to superhumanly heal, he is not capable of regenerating missing limbs or organs without the aid of outside magical forces.
Warfare Expertise: Ares is an expert in all areas of warfare.[41]
War Manipulation: The ability to manipulate war, strife, combat and other forms of conflict Ares as God of War has the power to influence all forms of conflict including mental, physical, spiritual and conceptual ones, regardless of the area and numbers involved, control how they progress and draw power both from the conflict alone as well as the dying. Ares is naturally, extremely skilled in all forms of fighting, weapons and both strategy and tactics as well as statistics of war. Ares can start conflicts by influencing people or events, rise personal and fanatical armies, control and create weapons of every kind and even grant others extensive abilities of combat. Ares has the incredible power to invoke war and chaos within an enormously large radius, ranging from a city to an entire continent. With this power he has full control over the city or continent that is in war and chaos at the time.[41]
Allspeak: Like all Olympians, Ares can communicate in all languages, Earth's dialects, and various alien languages known as the Allspeak (also called All-Tongue).
Abilities Master Combatant: Ares is a master of a variety of hand-to-hand combat skills and all of the ancient Greek forms armed and unarmed combat. Also, he has mastered all forms of weaponry, both modern and ancient.[40] He is well versed in military tactics, torture, and combat engineering. Ares is one of the most talented and ruthless warriors that has ever fought on Earth.[41]
Schwarzer Ritter (Däne Whitman) Black Knight (Dane Whitman)
Schwarzer Ritter (Däne Whitman) Black Knight (Dane Whitman)
Abilities Excellent swordsman and hand to hand combatant Expert horseman Genius physicist Strong strategist and tactician Magic senses Wields the Sword of Light and Shield of Night
Powers and abilities The Black Knight was originally a normal athletic human being with no superhuman powers. While sharing the gann josin with Sersi, his strength, speed, and other physical abilities were mildly enhanced. After the gann josin link was broken, Whitman returned to being a normal human being. As part of his new role as the Pendragon, however, Whitman has gained minor mystical abilities, such as the ability to see through mystical illusions by looking "past the mundane."
Whitman is an excellent swordsman whose skills have allowed him to best Swordsman in combat. He is also an excellent fighter in general, able to hold his own against such skilled fighters as Captain America and Wolverine. He is also an expert horseman. Additionally, Whitman started out as a scientist, though specializing in physics (having earned a master's degree in physics), he is proficient in a wide array of advanced sciences and technologies, including genetic and mechanical engineering, and continues to approach things from a scientific perspective more often than not, despite his ties to the world of magic. He has also demonstrated good leadership skills as leader of both the Avengers and Ultraforce. He has strong strategic and tactical skills.
Powers Phastos possesses the conventional attributes of the Eternal race as well as certain special abilities developed through rigorous discipline. Like that of all Eternals, his life force is augmented by cosmic energy and he has total mental control over his physical form and bodily processes even when he is asleep or unconscious.
Superhuman Strength: Phastos posses superhuman strength whose exact extent is unknown. He has been shown to throw huge boulders and larger cars without must stress. Invulnerability: To conventional forms of injury. Should Phastos be injured somehow, he could regenerate any injured or missing tissue. An Eternal can only die through an injury that disperses a significant portion of his body molecules, or if he is injured after his mental control over his body is somehow broken. Cosmic Energy Manipulation: Phastos can project cosmic energy in the form of beams from his eyes or beams and flashes from his hands. This cosmic energy, stored in specialized enclaves of cells in his body, can be used as force, heat, light, and possibly other forms of electromagnetic energy. Phastos can project a maximum concussive force of at least 200 pounds per square inch. He can project heat of a maximum temperature of at least 2,000 Fahrenheit. It takes about one minute for him to attain this maximum temperature. Because Phastos' heat beams can vaporize solid objects, they are often called his disintegration beams, The maximum range for his energy beams is about 175 feet. The expenditure of cosmic energy in this way continually for several hours will temporarily deplete Phastos' physical strength, but not his resistance to injury, although it will temporarily increase his sensitivity to pain. He will rapidly return to normal after such lengthy energy expenditure is over. Flight: Phastos can levitate himself by mentally manipulating gravitons (subatomic particles carrying the force of gravitational attraction between atoms) around himself. He can also levitate other persons and objects, even while simultaneously levitating himself. Phastos is able to fly via self-levitation at approximately 600 miles per hour. Psionics: Phastos has low level psychic abilities. He can mentally create illusions so as to disguise himself. Phastos can also psionically manipulate atoms and molecules so as to transform an object's shape. Teleportation: Phastos can teleport himself psionically, but prefers not to do so, since, like other Eternals, he finds the self-teleportation process physically unpleasant. Immortality: He is unable to die by age and is resistant to diseases and toxins to an unknown degree. Abilities Phastos is a genius level technologist, inventor and engineer who prides himself on being able to meet any challenge in his fields.
Strength level He can probably lift (press) at least about 25 tons (this differs from normal Eternal strength levels which are 15 tons). He can enhance this level by using his mental power.
Weaknesses Cosmic Manipulation Overuse: After using his manipulation powers for to long he becomes more susceptible to pain but not injury.
The Forgotten One (auch bekannt als Hero und Gilgamesh )
Abilities Superhuman strength, stamina, agility, reflexes, and durability Regenerative healing factor Flight Optic blasts Repressed aging Immunity to disease
Don Lee portrays Gilgamesh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities The Forgotten One is a member of the Eternal race, and possesses a number of superhuman abilities common to the Eternals, but has trained some of them far beyond the norm. While the exact limits are unknown, his immense, superhuman strength makes him the physically strongest of all known Eternals, save for Thanos.[volume & issue needed] His strength has been shown to rival that of Thor,[volume & issue needed] and Hercules.[volume & issue needed]
Like all other Eternals, The Forgotten One is virtually immortal. He hasn't aged since reaching adulthood and he is immune to all known diseases; his body is also highly durable and resistant to physical injury. He is capable of withstanding high caliber bullets, falls from great heights, powerful concussive forces, and temperature extremes, all without being injured. However, it is possible to injure him by disrupting the mental discipline that he maintains over his body. This ability allows him to control every molecule in his body, which in turn allows him to regenerate any damaged or destroyed tissue. However, should his mental discipline be broken, it is possible to permanently injure or kill him.
Other abilities that he has in common with most other Eternals include the power to levitate himself and/or fly at great speed, project beams of concussive force or heat from his eyes and hands, and the power to manipulate matter. To what degree these powers have been developed in comparison with other Eternals isn't known, but the first two have been stated as presumed to be average[citation needed]. He also has highly developed senses that helped to compensate for his former blindness, enabling him to be an excellent hunter and tracker.
The Forgotten One is one of the most accomplished hand-to-hand combatants among the Eternals. He possesses an extraordinary melee capacity, with knowledge of most methods of hand-to-hand combat known in ancient Earth civilizations. He sometimes wears battle armor of unknown composition, and usually arms himself with simple hand weapons such as an axe, spear, or club.
Ikaris Der Anführer The Leader
Abilities Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, reflexes and durability Cosmic energy transmutation Regeneration Flight Heat vision Psionic abilities Teleportation
Richard Madden plays Ikaris in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities Ikaris' life force is augmented by cosmic energy and he has total mental control over his physical form and bodily processes even when he is asleep or unconscious. As a result, he is virtually immortal, immune to disease and aging, and invulnerable to conventional forms of injury. Should Ikaris be injured somehow, he could regenerate any injured or missing tissue. Cosmic energy bolsters Ikaris's metabolism so that he does not tire from any physical exertion. He can resist temperature extremes through mental concentration.
Ikaris can levitate himself by mentally manipulating gravitons around himself. He can also levitate other persons and objects, even while simultaneously levitating himself. Ikaris is able to fly via self-levitation at approximately 850 miles per hour, a rate of speed most other Eternals cannot match.
Ikaris has low level psychic abilities, enabling him to scan the superficial thoughts of any mind less adept than his own. He can mentally create illusions so as to disguise himself. Ikaris can also psionically manipulate atoms and molecules so as to transform an object's shape. However, Ikaris is only a second-level adept on a five level scale (the fifth level being the highest) in this discipline. He can rearrange molecules in the air so as to create a virtually impenetrable shield about himself.
Ikaris can project cosmic energy in the form of beams from his eyes or beams and flashes from his hands. This cosmic energy, stored in specialized enclaves of cells in his body, can be used as force, heat, light, and possibly other forms of electromagnetic energy. Ikaris can project a maximum concussive force of at least 260 pounds per square inch. He can project heat of a maximum temperature of at least 3,000 Fahrenheit, hot enough to melt iron. It takes about one minute for him to attain this maximum temperature. Because Ikaris's heat beams can vaporize solid objects, they are often called his disintegrator beams, The maximum range for his energy beams is about 200 feet. Ikaris is a fourth level adept on a five-level scale (the fifth level being the highest) in this discipline. The expenditure of cosmic energy in this way continually for several hours will temporarily deplete Ikaris's physical strength, but not his resistance to injury, although it will temporarily increase his sensitivity to pain. He will rapidly return to normal after such lengthy energy expenditure is over.
Ikaris can teleport himself psionically, but prefers not to do so, since, like other Eternals, he finds the self-teleportation process physically unpleasant. He can also teleport other people along with himself.
Makkari (/ˈmækəri/), formerly known as Hurricane and Mercury,
Abilities Formerly: Immortality Superhuman speed, strength and durability Accelerated healing factor Cosmic energy manipulation Energy blasts Flight Illusion generation Matter transmutation Telekinesis Teleportation Currently: Immortality Superhuman strength and speed Ability to communicate with the Dreaming Celestial
Lauren Ridloff will play a female deaf version of Makkari in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities Makkari is a member of the race of superhumans known as Eternals. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes. He can create cyclones by running in circles, and can run up walls and across water. Makkari's body eventually accumulates fatigue poisons and is susceptible to injury.
Although in most of his appearances Makkari has the typical powers of an Eternal, his obsession with speed, starting in the Quasar series, causes him to focus most of his body's Cosmic Energy into enhancing his running speed. As a result, he lost his ability to fly and many of his other powers have been weakened in the process. Makkari possesses none of the psionic powers of the average Eternal (levitation, ocular force projection, and molecular rearrangement), having purposefully readapted all his specialized cell enclaves to speed and running-related attributes. At present, he can run at near light speed for extended periods, but his physical strength (while still far greater than human) has been reduced by half, and he seemingly cannot project energy or manipulate matter.
Makkari sometimes wears a protective crash helmet, though he does not truly need it. He wears synthetic stretch fabric, specially treated to resist the rigors of high velocity movement.
Makkari has great mechanical aptitude, and the ability to pilot most land and air vehicles. He has moderate experience at hand-to-hand combat; his fighting style incorporates his superhuman speed. He has finished the standard Eternal higher education, and underwent special tutoring in the applications of speed.
Sersi
Abilities Superhuman strength and durability Molecular and atomic manipulation Manifest cosmic energy as any form of electromagnetism (heat, light, electricity, etc) Telepathy Telekinesis Immortality Flight
In 2019, it was announced that Gemma Chan will play Sersi in Marvel Studios' movie Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities Learn more This section does not cite any sources. Learn more This section may contain an excessive amount of intricate detail that may interest only a particular audience. Learn more This section describes a work or element of fiction in a primarily in-universe style. As a member of the race of superhumans known as the Eternals, Sersi has the standard abilities of Earth's Eternals, though she has focused the majority of her power into transmutational abilities and passed it off as illusion or magic over the centuries. Sersi's psionic ability to rearrange the molecular structure of objects is far greater than that of any other Eternal; the limits on Sersi's molecular rearrangement powers are as yet unrevealed, but she once stated that even the Eternals' leader, Zuras feared her, and Sprite claimed that she was the most powerful of all the Eternals. Sersi is the only living Fifth Level adept at matter transmutation (on a 1-5 scale). She has the ability to alter molecular and atomic structures of all matter including living organisms. However, she has expressed difficulty in rearranging sub-atomic matter.
Sersi has a gifted intellect, and superhuman strength (which she can supplement by psionically levitating heavy objects), stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes. Sersi possesses the ability to manipulate cosmic energy to augment her life force, granting her virtual invulnerability and immortality, the ability to project cosmic energy from her eyes or hands in the form of heat, light, or concussive force, and possibly other powers. Sersi is resistant against cold, disease, electricity, energy, heat, radiation, and toxin attacks. She does not age, and can only be killed if her atoms are scattered.
Sersi has the ability to levitate herself and up to seven others, and thus fly at superhuman speed. She has the ability to cast illusions to disguise her appearance and that of others from the perceptions of normal human beings. She has the ability to teleport herself and others with her; like other Eternals, Sersi finds their method of self-teleportation unpleasant and uses this power sparingly. Sersi can communicate telepathically, and resist telepathic attacks from psychics as powerful as Exodus and Professor X. Though she can not mentally read the mind of any Deviant, she can control the minds of Eternals, Deviants, and humans. Sersi can telekinetically manipulate objects and generate a force field. Sersi, like all Eternals, can join the Uni-Mind.
As a trained dancer who has perfected her art over centuries, aided by her superhuman physique, Sersi has extraordinary athletic ability. She has also demonstrated a talent in martial arts, multiple languages, wrestling, and fashion design.
Thena (born Azura)
Abilities
Superhuman speed, strength, durability, and regeneration Energy blasts Flight Illusion generation Matter transmutation Mind control Telekinesis Telepathy Teleportation
In 2019, it was announced that Angelina Jolie would be playing Thena in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities Thena is a member of the race of superhumans known as the Eternals. As a result, she has superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, agility, and reflexes. Thena also possesses the ability to manipulate cosmic energy to augment her life force, granting her virtual invulnerability and immortality, the ability to project cosmic energy from her eyes or hands in the form of heat, light, or concussive force and possibly other powers. Thena has total mental control over her physical form, granting virtual invulnerability and immortality. She also has the ability to levitate herself and thus fly at superhuman speed, the psionic ability to rearrange the molecular structure of objects, the ability to cast illusions to disguise her appearance and that of others from the perceptions of normal human beings, the ability to teleport herself and others with her, and the ability to initiate formation of the Uni-Mind.
Thena has a gifted intellect, and has studied under the greatest Eternal and human scholars throughout her lifetime. She is highly educated in numerous areas of Eternal and human knowledge. Thena is also a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, with extensive training in unarmed combat and the use of many ancient and Eternal high-tech weapons.
Thena wears body armor of unknown composition. She carries a bow that fires arrows that release "cold energy", and she carries an energy spear that surrounds victims with a ring of intense heat and light or bombards them with anti-gravitons.
Sprite
Abilities Control over cosmic energy allowing energy blasts and invulnerability, Immortality, Vast psionic powers including telepathy, telekinesis, matter transmutation and illusion casting In 2019, it was announced that Lia McHugh would be playing Sprite in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities Sprite, like all Eternals, has total control over her body's life force and molecular structure, making them virtually immortal; in addition to not aging, Eternals are immune to all known diseases and toxins, radiation, and extremes of temperature. Her Eternal body has the appearance of a pre-adolescent child but she is, in fact, hundreds of thousands of years old.
Sprite is able to channel cosmic radiation into blasts of heat or force, levitate herself and others, and create illusions. She has superhuman strength, though because of her small size and childlike anatomy it is less than that of most Eternals. She is capable of rearranging atoms and molecules in such a way as to radically restructure objects (once creating a working ground-to-orbit spacecraft in seconds), and is second only to Sersi in the art of molecular reconstruction.
Sprite, in her former male incarnation, successfully used the reality-warping powers of the Dreaming Celestial to provide himself with a human body that would have aged to adulthood normally, if not for his demise.
Ajak
Abilities Superhuman speed, strength and durability Accelerated healing factor Energy blasts Flight Teleportation
During San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced The Eternals with Ajak being gender swapped to be portrayed by actress Salma Hayek, set to be released in 2021.
Powers and abilities Ajak possesses the standard Eternal abilities of cosmic energy manipulation and complete control of one's own cellular makeup. The physical control granted gives Eternals an indefinitely prolonged lifespan and cellular regeneration along with superhuman strength and durability, in addition to cosmic powers granting them flight, teleportation and the ability to fire energy bolts.[citation needed]
It was revealed in Gaiman's miniseries Eternals that Ajak possesses the ability to directly communicate with the Celestials when they are nearby.[citation needed]
Kingo Sunen (Earth-616)
Powers and Abilities Powers Kingo Sunen presumably has all the typical powers of Eternals: near-immortality, super-strength, flight, energy projection, and molecular manipulation. However, he eschews the use of these powers in battle, preferring to fight in the traditional manner of the Samurai.

Abilities Concussive blasts Flight Ability to survive unaided in space Sensitive brain that senses motion Increased intelligence, strength, durability, and memory
Powers and abilities Jack Hart's superhuman powers are as a result of the mutagenic effect of his father's "Zero Fluid", combined with the alien genes from his Contraxian mother. He has superhuman stamina and durability. Jack of Hearts also has the ability to generate "zero energy" within his body and project it as concussive force or intense heat or as a propellant to fly. Jack is sometimes unable to exert complete control over his energies, however. For a short time after restarting Contraxia's sun, he uncontrollably radiated enough heat to melt one of Contraxia's polar ice caps.[12] He can survive unprotected in space. Jack of Hearts's brain has incorporated the artificial intelligence of a computerized device called the Scanalyzer, enabling him to think with the speed of a computer and store and retrieve information with a computer-like capacity and efficiency.
The left half of Jack of Hearts' body has turned purplish-black from direct exposure to "Zero Fluid". Jack of Hearts' left eye has an opaque white membrane covering the entire pupil. These mutations were not solely caused by exposure to the "Zero Fluid", but are actually aspects of his half-Contraxian genetics brought to the fore, as Contraxians naturally have such appearances.[12]
Jack originally wore a suit of armor crafted in medieval Europe.[4] His second suit of armor was designed by Torval, and made from alien materials designed to contain the zero energy his body generates.[29] His original suit of armor was later restored and upgraded by Moondragon after Jack was rescued from space by the Avengers and thus leading to his connection with the team.[17]
Jack is a fair hand-to-hand combatant, has had some S.H.I.E.L.D. combat training, and is a talented poet.
Powers and abilities Count Nefaria was a normal human with a genius intellect long before he'd gained his superpowers. He was a well versed scientist, inventor, theoretical physicist, adept strategist and organizational leader with deep ties to the underworld through his own crime family, The Maggia. Such a taciturn criminal mastermind is he that upon his first appearance he'd easily turned the American public and the world over against The Avengers in their first meeting.[26] It wasn't until being subjected to a process perfected by one of Baron Heinrich Zemo's scientists Dr. Kenneth Sturdy that he was granted the combined powers of the villains the Living Laser (energy projection), Power Man (strength), and Whirlwind (speed), amplified a hundredfold.[27] Because of this, Nefaria is one of the physically strongest known humans in the Marvel Universe. He has toppled a 40-story building with little effort, withstood a blow from Wonder Man without flinching, and fought an enraged Thor to a standstill with no apparent damage from strikes of his hammer, even stopping it with his bare hand.[28]
The character then aged until his body evolved, eventually shifting into pure ionic form. This increasing his already insurmountable abilities while granting him new ones,[29] such as the creation and manipulation of ionic energy for teleportation,[30][31] hand and eye blasts,[32] ionic force punches,[33] and/or controlling other ionic beings (and potentially gamma mutates) via parasitically siphoning their energies.[34][35] Through this he can also convert others into ionic energy beings as well, in a vampiric fashion, turning them into his superpowered thralls.[36][37] As such, Nefaria is effectively immortal and virtually indestructible. He also has the power of flight, when before he could only leap great distances.[38] He's also showcased a new power, creating energy constructs to surround his opponents in ionic energy and move them about telekinetically.[39][40] He has withstood simultaneous attacks by multiple teams of superheros at once.[41] Although it is possible to deplete Nefaria's ionic energy in combat by forcing him to expend it faster than his body can replenish it, Giant-Man calculated that it would take three weeks of constant combat – without even giving Nefaria time to pause for breath – for even the combined forces of the Avengers and the Thunderbolts to deplete his ionic energy reserves completely in that manner. However, Madame Masque has developed a weapon that disrupts Nefaria's ionic energy.[42]
As a head of the Maggia, Count Nefaria also has access to vast amounts of technology, munitions, and gadgetry developed by his Research and Development department.[43] Much of this, he had a hand in crafting, such as the Electro-disc, Time Transcender Ray, Visio-Projector, Worldwide Electro-scanner, The Dream Master and the Ionic Bomb.[44][45][46] Being of Italian nobility, Count Nefaria has also inherited a vast fortune, which he has used in conjunction with his intellect for the purpose of furthering his revenue and power. To that end he would use it for the hiring of super villains, scientists and expendable workforce in his organization branch for the creation of inventions that were far in the advances of modern science, give himself super powers or broaden the reach of his connections to both the unlawful and political circuit of the world. Being an aristocrat of understandable stature and influence, Nefaria also has claims to diplomatic immunity and as such he cannot be tried outside of his own home country.[47]

Powers and abilities
Originally, Captain Britain's powers were linked to the mystical Amulet of Right, worn around his neck.
In addition, Braddock is a brilliant scientist with a Ph.D. in physics.

Powers and abilities
Ares belongs to a race of inter-dimensional deities known only as the Olympians.
Abilities
Master Combatant: Ares is a master of a variety of hand-to-hand combat skills and all of the ancient Greek forms armed and unarmed combat. Also, he has mastered all forms of weaponry, both modern and ancient.[40] He is well versed in military tactics, torture, and combat engineering. Ares is one of the most talented and ruthless warriors that has ever fought on Earth.[41]

Black Knight (Dane Whitman)
Abilities
Excellent swordsman and hand to hand combatant
Expert horseman
Genius physicist
Strong strategist and tactician
Magic senses
Wields the Sword of Light and Shield of Night
Powers and abilities
The Black Knight was originally a normal athletic human being with no superhuman powers.

Phastos
Phastos
Powers and Abilities
Powers
Phastos possesses the conventional attributes of the Eternal race as well as certain special abilities developed through rigorous discipline.
Abilities
Phastos is a genius level technologist, inventor and engineer who prides himself on being able to meet any challenge in his fields.
Strength level
He can probably lift (press) at least about 25 tons (this differs from normal Eternal strength levels which are 15 tons). He can enhance this level by using his mental power.
Weaknesses
Cosmic Manipulation Overuse: After using his manipulation powers for to long he becomes more susceptible to pain but not injury.
The Forgotten One (auch bekannt als Hero und Gilgamesh )
Abilities
Superhuman strength, stamina, agility, reflexes, and durability
Regenerative healing factor
Flight
Optic blasts
Repressed aging
Immunity to disease
Don Lee portrays Gilgamesh in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities
The Forgotten One is a member of the Eternal race, and possesses a number of superhuman abilities common to the Eternals, but has trained some of them far beyond the norm.

Richard Madden plays Ikaris in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities
Ikaris' life force is augmented by cosmic energy and he has total mental control over his physical form and bodily processes even when he is asleep or unconscious.

Lauren Ridloff will play a female deaf version of Makkari in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities
Makkari is a member of the race of superhumans known as Eternals.

In 2019, it was announced that Angelina Jolie would be playing Thena in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities
Thena is a member of the race of superhumans known as the Eternals.
Sprite
Abilities
Control over cosmic energy allowing energy blasts and invulnerability,
Immortality,
Vast psionic powers including telepathy, telekinesis, matter transmutation and illusion casting
In 2019, it was announced that Lia McHugh would be playing Sprite in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Eternals (2021).
Powers and abilities
Sprite, like all Eternals, has total control over her body's life force and molecular structure, making them virtually immortal; in addition to not aging, Eternals are immune to all known diseases and toxins, radiation, and extremes of temperature.

During San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige announced The Eternals with Ajak being gender swapped to be portrayed by actress Salma Hayek, set to be released in 2021.
Powers and abilities
Ajak possesses the standard Eternal abilities of cosmic energy manipulation and complete control of one's own cellular makeup.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
Kingo Sunen presumably has all the typical powers of Eternals: near-immortality, super-strength, flight, energy projection, and molecular manipulation. However, he eschews the use of these powers in battle, preferring to fight in the traditional manner of the Samurai.
Schwarzer Ritter (Däne Whitman)
Black Knight (Dane Whitman)
Schwarzer Ritter (Däne Whitman)
Black Knight (Dane Whitman)
Abilities
Excellent swordsman and hand to hand combatant
Expert horseman
Genius physicist
Strong strategist and tactician
Magic senses
Wields the Sword of Light and Shield of Night
Powers and abilities Edit
The Black Knight was originally a normal athletic human being with no superhuman powers.

Jack of Hearts ( Jack Hart )
Jack of Hearts (Jack Hart)
Abilities
Concussive blasts
Flight
Ability to survive unaided in space
Sensitive brain that senses motion
Increased intelligence, strength, durability, and memory
Powers and abilities
Jack Hart's superhuman powers are as a result of the mutagenic effect of his father's "Zero Fluid", combined with the alien genes from his Contraxian mother.

Count Nefaria was a normal human with a genius intellect long before he'd gained his superpowers.
