Today I got warlock as 5* and was wondering how he works and what is his benfits

Dude, he's a legit game changer. Get that infection, spam heavy attack for that awesome armor break + bleed than BOOM use his sp2 than the fight is pretty much done. His sp2 SHREDS opponents. One of the top champs in the game, will carry you through tonnes of content, congrats dude

Yup and just to make your day, he's pretty straightforward to use (plus no synergies to be great)

Yes, Warlock doesn't actually need synergies himself. If you're interested, though, his best synergies are with Vision and Magik.

Vision synergy gives decent Fury boosts; whilst the Magik synergy gives her a big boost to Special damage and Limbo damage.

Sp2 for damage and utility.
Only use sp3 if you must dump power.
