Problem with symbiote supreme

I was fighting Hyperion in aq map 5 mini boss...I was in null shadow and had atleast 5+second left on the clock to switch to nulls fang...what I understand is sym supreme cannot take more than 15 pc damage during null shadow...however my ss dies instantly...this is not the first time and it has happened earlier...anybody else facing this problem...or am I reading something wrong

Its not nulls shadow that causes the damage cap. Its the buff that lasts for most of nulls shadow.
Did you have the green buff when sp3 was launched?

I may be wrong but hype's sp3 has multiple hits. SS in Nulls Shadow can't take more than 15% of his max health Per Hit. That could be the reason for it. It's been awhile since I used SS though so I could be mistaken.

Each passive phase lasts 15 seconds. The protection buff triggered when going into nulls shadow only lasts 10 seconds.

With 5ish seconds left of nulls shadow then the protection buff would've already expired or just expired

That hyperion is somehow smart enough to wait for that protection buff to expire...
