    How many battlegroups did you run? And how long did it take to find a match after your started the search? My guess is you ran a 1BG or 2BG war and the system was struggling to match you so it eventually landed on your opponent even though they have a much higher war rating.

    We ran 2 BGs and it probably took it a minute.

    I heard from someone else that there are few alliances who run 2 BGs, so the matchmaking has very little choices to make and thus your matchup might be inaccurate and extremely diverse.

    It's more accurate and fair when 3 BGs are matched though
