Veteran Summoners at a Disadvantage

Most veteran players finished Act 4 to help advance their teams. When they did it there was a pretty bad pool of 5* champs available. Tier 2 Alphas have been so rare that unless you've explored the LoL, you're stuck with having 2 of the initial 12.

Now players with just over a year into the game can also have earned 2 sets of T2 Alphas without having completed the LoL, to be in line with those with over double the commitment. When new players finished Act 4, they had the benefit of top tier 5* Featured Champs being available, and as of recently, many more solid basic champs.

How fair is it that a Veteran player with more money and time in the game is stuck with a 4/55 Black Panther and Cpt. Marvel while someone with far less of a commitment gets to run a 4/55 Stark Spidey and Dr Voodoo?

Who here thinks that Kabam ought to do something to set things right? What do you think would do it?

I think the people who think that veterans are at a disadvantage compared to all other players and the people who think the newer players are at a disadvantage compared to all other players and the people who think the mid-range players are at a disadvantage compared to all other players should be placed in the Hunger Games and whoever wins gets to decide what the next crystal everyone gets for free is.

We paid for achieving better rosters, via completion of act4, that those who waited did not get until now. You could have waited for the game to evolve. I waited until I had a very good team to do RoL to the point that it took zero items, you could have done the same. I did one run of LoL but will wait for max 5* to 100%

Hey folks - going to shut this one down pretty quickly because I think it's heading to a place we want to go. Speaking about The Contest in general, we've never given the impression that the game would remain stagnant or not change. We have added a new Champion every 2 weeks since the start of The Contest, and don't have any plans to stop this. We are constantly adding new features and new content so Summoners don't run out of things to do, and we will continue to innovate on new game modes and exciting things in order to keep The Contest alive and vibrate.

There are arguments that could be made on both sides here - that newer players have a hard time catching up with veterans, that we do too much for veterans (we saw that sentiment surrounding some of the Uncollected stuff) or that new players now have it 'easier' than veterans did when they first started. It's not really worth getting into arguments about this because it won't change where we are with the game - but what IS worth getting into is that The Contest offers different content and challenges for summoners at ALL levels. It's a game you can grow with, and grow into. That's a good thing because it means we're going to be around for a while
