What is the best path to take for the act 6 grandmaster?

So i'll be taking him on within the week and in my research I saw the 2 main paths people have taken are the lifecycle path and the tenacity path. I'm kinda confused on what the linked nodes on each path do or remove on the grandmaster. Can someone explain?
