AQ Map6 - Block dropped, Character Ran in to die, couldn't block

3x now in AQ, Blade dropped block, ran into, got hit, couldn't move or block - no response. Died 3x.

Cleaned screen, restarted ipad.

Very strange.

Is this a reward for Completing the Abyss?
