Question About Diversity in AW

For diversity in aw, does it count for all the bgs, or just each bg separately? For example, if bg1 places a hyperion and a domino, and bg2 places a hyperion and a night crawler, will the total diversity be 3 or 4?

Pretty sure it's each bg .. but I'll admit, I'm not 100% sure.
