Rank Up Gems and Catalyst

Hi,

I have Rank up Gem 2>3 and I have no idea how to use them. I’ve other gems that i’ve used but just this specific one I cannot use. I also dont know how to use my collection of catalysts. For example I have Tier 3 Basic Catalysts 6/5 but I don’t know how to do this. The game is good but I didn't realize how complicated it is to rank up the champion. I also see how many feel my frustration with poor steps or instructions for this game. Wish something can be done about it.

Go to your champion screen. Find a champion that you would like to rank and from there you just have to press upgrade. It will tell you everything you need to upgrade the champ and will give you the option of either using catalysts or gems. It might all seem a bit overwhelming at first but it’s actually all really simple. Welcome to the community!

I agree with webfred. I have a few different rank up gems but have so far been unable to use them. The champions I select say it is available to use but when I click on the gem it wants to use gold. I would like some more explanation of how to use the rank up gem.

you need to use gold to use the rank up gem, just as you need gold to rank up with catalysts

YES, pretty sure that some RankUp Gems cost Gold to use, some don't. Depends on where they were earned from, those from some Variants are different from ones from other places.

So long as it is showing that the Gem is being used (and NOT Catalysts), you should be good.

So long as it is showing that the Gem is being used (and NOT Catalysts), you should be good.

The only free gems were 2015 rank up gems from variant 1. Can’t remember if variant 2 gems were free or not.
