I Love This Game, But...

I love this game, but sometimes it is just a straight kick in the crotch. I just found out that I lost my job due to COVID and am now unemployed, so I tried opening up a five star crystal to try and cheer me up some.
Welp.
I awakened my Blue Cyclops.
Yeah, that's on the heels of a streak of 15+ bad pulls/useless dupes. To make it worse, Blue Cyclops was the last new champ I pulled.
So yeah, I love this game, but I shouldn't have relied on it to cheer me up.

Funnily enough, immediately after posting this I pulled a four star Iceman from a phc, giving me the Mutant Iso I need to finish r5ing Havok. That did cheer me up a lot.

The best you can do is hope for the best, learn some new skills, and to be prepared for when the world opens up again and is ready to hire.
In the meantime, cut non-essential spending(like mcoc), and figure out ways you can save

Obviously, that’s why I didn’t say something like “How dare Kabam not give me a Beyond God Tier six star out of a five star because I had a bad day!” I was just saying what happened to me. I didn’t suggest or say that I thought I was entitled to a good champ, just thought that maybe it’d turn my day around.

Thanks man, the good thing is that my employer told me that they’re hiring everyone back (I work for a large casino) once they reopen, so I have that to keep me going too

Dude until you commented that, I totally forgot Cyclops is a mutant champ and gives mutant iso. I’m trying to rank up Havok to r5 but have very little mutant iso, but now I have almost enough. You honestly just made me me so much happier with the pull

Secondly, that wasn't meant to be insensitive. My comment is being exaggerated. I said I feel for the guy, but the game isn't something to depend on for emotional support. I speak from experience. Been there. Things are going bad, so you play the game to take your mind off it. Then you get more frustrated because you can't focus, you don't get the Champs you want, etc.
People in the game can be there for you, for sure. My Ally Members have been very supportive. The game however, doesn't care. Lol.

Also....OP.....keep your head up. I’m no psychic, but I’m betting one day Cyclops gets a buff with Magneto. It has to happen. The guy is literally one of the most iconic characters of all time.

No one said it wasn't. I was making a point. A point I explained later on. People are reacting as if I said no one cares he lost his job. That's not what I said at all. I said the game doesn't know he lost his job. Meaning we can't expect it to give us a break because we all know how the RNG works. Talking to people and reaching out is helpful. Which is exactly what's going on here. The very valid point I was making is it's better to talk to people and recognize that the game isn't a solution than hope for something to come along in the game which gives 5 minutes of reprive. It's a game. It doesn't know our struggles.

Come on man lighten up some. I'm sorry to hear that about your job many many many of us are having a tough time. But if I was down and out like that and I popped a Cyclops I'd be hysterical 😂

I'd be upset too. Lol. I hear you. My concern is for after as well. I'm not sure about the States, but here in Canada, it's going to take a long time for the economy to recover.
