If you buy the gold for 1 doubloon, where does it go?, I mean does it become a crystal you have to open or it just is added to your current gold total?.

I think that every doubloon you trade in gives you one gold, so that if you end up with extra, like seatin do in his video, you can make sure you are not wasting your money.
