Why are free2play accounts getting banned?

So I dont get the logic that small f2p accounts are getting banned. If any of the staff could explain that to me. Firstly i got banned then my brother and we are f2p. Do we need to spend money like some players to not get banned or something? Why arent mercs getting banned instead? We are just humble f2p players and just want to play the game
