April event review
Forgot to get this out so I’ll do it now, better late than never
Warning: this will be a long post, summary at the end for those who don’t want to read it all
The event quest: pretty standard again, nothing too difficult, not much to say about these anymore, waiting on something new in them
So I’ll start off with the good, feeling green event, I mean, 15 free revives and free boosts, absolutely nothing to complain about, and letting the bugged rerun still go was a great move, absolutely nothing bad to say about this, 10/10
Energy calendar, this was kinda the March event when it started but since I didn’t mention it in the March review I’ll add it here, again, nothing to complain about, free energy in large amounts, 10/10
Barons war side quest: I really liked this event, you got to choose the rewards you wanted, and those rewards were in pretty high quantity, the event was quick, not energy consuming, and besides the sorcerer supreme can’t stop won’t stop fight it was super easy for the rewards. The objectives were a nice addition but nothing crazy, just a few extra shards/catalysts, this is a 9/10 event imo
Halls of healing, April fools have us halls of healing, and was essentially a small amount of free revives. The energy requirements could have been lower but I can’t really complain, also the big head champs were hilarious, 8/10
Sticky key: now I was slightly disappointed with this, I mean an extra path in the quest for a gold realm quest wasn’t bad, all the extra energy in barons war and the gold quest was a bit annoying but it was worth the gold, the issue I had was that there was all this mystery and suspense building throughout the month on what this key was, and that hype just wasn’t matched. If the event was just put on us with no build up like halls of healing it would’ve been great, but because we were waiting all month the hype just wasn’t matched, I can’t rate it bad but not as high as halls of healing, 6/10
Onto the champions, start with the better if the 2,
Sorcerer supreme: I love this chanpion, very unique, got a bit of a learning curve but is very fun once you get the hang of her. Her damage isn’t bad but I just love her selectable utility and the user control, she is one of the best slow chanps in the game, and that regen on block is just amazing, big fan of this chanpion, and her dupe is how I like it, benefits the champ but isn’t needed, she gets a 9/10 from me
Storm pyramid x: definitely the worse if the 2 chanps. As many have been saying she is just a worse havok or sunspot, to get big damage you have to play on the edge, and then that damage is subject to rng on crits, she’s lacking in utility overall, and while she’s not a bad champion, she didn’t match the initial hype, and won’t be useful for developed rosters, I’ll give her a 6/10
So overall April was a pretty good month, the side quest was great and a few little things really picked it up, the main issues were things not matching the large hype, the sticky key and storm, and although neither were bad, the fact they didn’t match the hype makes them seem underwhelming
