Change in AW Season rewards

The changes KABAM made to take out those war crystals and replace them with fixed shards was a great idea, as it now gives everyone in the alliance the same rewards. But wouldn't adding some GOLD to season rewards be another great idea KABAM?
With the sigil weekly shards and just general greater shard drops and rank up materials in game compared to a year ago, people are running out of gold faster than ever.
Not to mention...with current AW Season rewards, there's a ton of crystal shards, so there will be a number of new champs pulled...and surprise surprise...not enough gold to rank up (in most cases).
Just a thought...
