Obligatory did you change masteries? did you have a boost on?

It's been mentioned before, some champs have a weird interaction when they rank up, just due to oddities, their overall PI goes down before ranking them up. I want to say X-23 is one of those.

No boosts were active and no mastery changes. I logged into the game, saw the mutant advancement solo event I had been waiting on and immediately ranked her up.

It was (is) happening with me too, not only with Emma... i thought that it was a glich, but now i see i'm not the only one...

Hey guys, I understand it can be confusing when you Rank Up a Champion and the PI Level decreases.

Rest assured, this is an intentional aspect of the game, it's not a bug of any kind. We implemented this to encourage players to Level Up their Champions after reaching a higher Rank. While there can be an initial decrease in PI, the Champion can then be Levelled Up to make it much more powerful than was possible at a lower Rank.
