Rank up 5* Angela from rank 3 to 4 or 4* Cap Marvel Movie from rank 4 to 5

Depends a little on what content you're looking to pursue but the general rule of thumb is to go for 5* over 4* unless the 5* is trash.

Angela is a good champ, she deals great damage if you cycle her specials properly, she has a bit of regen, and she's a legit Havok counter thanks to her replenishing Armour Buff. What she lacks is utility.

CMM meanwhile is massive damage and her binary ability just has her surviving everything - many people swear by her but many others say she NEEDS the Nick Fury synergy...

It doesn't *need* to be a competition. Maxing a 4* doesn't use T2A which is the critical resource for getting 5* to r4. The t4b and t1a are much more replenishable.

CMM is one of best top 10 champs in the game, and so depending on your progression she's well worth maxing out and will cost less in resources. Angela's good but probably more top 50-75. If this is your first r4 5*, and you're not stuck in content somewhere, you might want to wait. In the meantime you might get another 5* pull who's better to take to r4 over Angela (and maybe a different class, so you won't be competing for cosmic t4cc).

If you're working towards uncollected or Act 5 completion I'd do CMM first, she has special burst damage that plays above her weight class in value, and see what else you get in 5* pulls before deciding who to use your valuable t2a on.

That said, a r4 5* Angela can prob put in a lot of good work as well. And she has some interesting synergies going for her. Need more context to be definitive about which one is better.

@Tru100 so thats my roster. Right now I'm trying to go for Act 5 completion. And the reason I was thinking of Angela was the damage output she has.

Hmm, this actually makes it tougher call imo. I think NF and CMM are two of best in game and worth maxing out even as 4*.

But you also have Hela to pair w Angela as 5* and that's a good cheat death synergy at 5* level. Along w Havok I could see argument for focusing your attention on them.

Personally 4* NF and CMM were workhorses for me for Uncollected and initial Act 5 completion, so I'm partial to them. I figure if you don't invest in them now they're only going to lose value so you might as well max and exploit them while you can. See how far they can take you. So I'd take up CMM. Save the t2A for now. But if someone argued on grounds of investing in 5* over 4* I couldn't strenuously argue.

Also if you're finding the chip damage getting to be too much as you move through Act 5, then that's also sign to focus on 5*. But I think NF CMM are among handful of 4* always worth maxing out, so you might as well do it now.

In your case, better to rank up NF first then CMM, their synergy could help you much in Act 5.
