Is Cull Obsidian still good?

I am progressing through act 5.3 and I’m trying to deepen my 4/40 roster with more classes of champs. I have a Cull Obsidian and I was thinking of taking him up because I need more cosmic champs (I only have one at 5/50). I heard he got nerfed or fixed or something. Is he still a viable option for act 5 content?

I also have a 4 star cosmic awakening gem. Is Cull worth it?

He does insane damage with rout, main downside is his block proficiency, which will be his main downfall in Act 6 content, but a solid champion otherwise.

Maybe not worth AG but defintely worth 5/50
Love him as a character, but when you have Hyperion and medusa in the same roster, it's hard to rank up mats to get to him

I think he's gone from over-hyped to under-rated. If you don't have the handful of cosmic champs better than him (CMM, Hype, Corvus, Venom, maybe Medusa but I think they're on same tier) then absolutely worth taking up. I think worth the AG as well. It lets you activate his rout more than once per fight and also gives you a fury while it's on cool down. So big damage boost. Ramped up he negates evade, auto block and can tear through a lot of paths.

He is good, exellence for act 5 in fact, because defenders in Ac5 has low health low attack rating, so he does help.

Dont run suicide with him. He will take too much damage from it.

Agreed. Imo, the fix actually improved him. He does much more damage in the beginning fights, and while damage is lowered at the end, he still hits insanely hard. His sig is also very good

Got a 5* cull thats duped, leaving him at r1. BP is just terrible, rather r5 Hyperion

I think he is still quite a good champ he was compared to Corvus which to cull is quite unfair Corvus is arguably top 5 overall but cull can most certainly pack a punch once ramped up id say rank him up

My memory of him says yes, I sold my 4* post buff so I could rank another 5* but just pulled a 5* Cull so interested in opinions there...

Better than before.
Cull Obsidian is an extremely underrated character. I use my duped 6-star r2 in a lot of contents, and even in Act 6. His damage combined with the true strike above 5 charges makes you forget about the low block proficency. He finishes fights really quickly.
Also a mention for flow in AW: I used him to solo Iron Man IW on node 22 and 200% Power Gain miniboss (Tier 1). Very very good champ to have. Worth the class awakening gem.
