How do alliance-less people get upgrade materials?

Pretty sure you guys know how MEDIOCRE the T4 daily quests are in terms of rewards! So I'm wondering how people who don't do AQ and war get these kinds things.

Legends run for event quest

Very very tough to get resources
This game isn’t well rewarding for Solo players who mostly play for fun
Rather this game has gone in direction of a full time job and an effort of 30 people’s round the clock.
Unless you already got plenty of ranked up champs you shouldn’t go solo imo
Story quests like act6 only rewarding the solo players but those who doing it are already pretty much stacked with resources and champs so they can even go solo
