Buff Deleter not working??

I just had a run at the MODOK island side event and used a buff deleter to remove the rage node on the final boss, but it didn't get deleted for some reason. Has anyone else has similar issues with removing buffs?

I haven't tried to delete a buff yet.

Did it cost you 2 deleters though? Mine cost a deleter and i was left with 1 but the node was still active.
