Empowered Immunity clarification

The node “Empowered Immunity” states “Whenever this champion would gain a DEBUFF they are immune to, they generate 33% of a bar of power.”

I just fought this node with Black Widow (Claire Voyant) and applied a “buff immunity” debuff to them. They also had Resistor so they gained a buff every time they were attacked. This triggered the “Empowered Immunity.” Not sure if the interaction is bugged or if the node should be reworded to include buffs as well.

This was in the Island of MODOK event. If I can get this interaction again, I will get a video of it. Not sure how rare that combination will be to replicate the exact effects.
