Is there a mechanic I am missing, Havok 8s taking incinerate damage from Torch, I thought he was immune to all types of incinerate. Thanks for any insight i to.this.

Nova flames are a Passive I believe and since havoks attacks are energy based it will ramp up HT very fast and add smoulders and put him into nova form quick

Don't even need to stick to light attacks. I play the fight as normal at first, once he gets to 7 smoulders, I change my style then switch to medium attacks and heavies only because they are noncontact and don't allow novas to apply on you. HT only incinerates or places Nova if you make contact. I soloed the 2 HTs yesterday, and I only lost about 40% health. Get to 5 heavy prowesses, block pretty much everything for the second mini to avoid activating dex and triggering buffet, let your feedback put in work, throw your SP 3 at the right time, and HT goes down! Never passes 2 minutes for me!

I believe havok is one of the top 3 counters to both HTs

Oh, and BTW, the reason you take mediocre damage from blocking HT is because all of HT's attacks are energy based, and havok with his energy resistance reduces their damage by about half.
Also, you can hit into HT's block as much as you want, he doesn't place novas from blocking, just make sure it is when you're actually hitting him you use double mediums and heavies.
