Champion-Aegon Synergy

Not sure if this has been mentioned before...

The Champion & Aegon have a mutual synergy (David & Goliath) where by The Champion gains +20%AP against smaller champions & Aegon gains +20% against larger champions. Now seeing as they need to be together to activate this synergy & it doesn’t stack surely this is an absolute waste giving it to both of them!! Or have I missed something here?

Some other champ pairs have similar “2-way” synergy.

Keep in mind synergies are not all present on lower STAR versions of champs. So if you have a 4* of one champ, but only a 3* or 2* of the other, then no matter which one was the 4* you will be able to have the synergy bringing both onto a quest team.
