Platpool solved?

So it seems that Kabam Miike has deconfirmed Platpool’s connection with the boss rush series. https://mobile.twitter.com/KabamMiike/status/1278825538811883520
With that in mind, we are all familiar with the possible connection to the 5 Yugioh (or however you say it) cards that make up the forbidden one (forbidden crystal anyone?)
So knowing both of those things, there is one more piece of information to this: the 2500 energy objective given by Platpool. The first reward for it are the forbidden crystals, but then you unlock this challenge that comes with a profile pic:
It looks VERY similar to what would be a set of 5 that you would collect and combine over time.
So my theory is, we will periodically get challenges from Platpool where each one will give us one of the five pieces, and once we do, Platpool will unlock for us.

also, this would fit in really nice with the boss rush theory that I’ve thrown around in my head where the final boss rush reward is a version of platpool whose star rating scales with the difficulty you beat him in.
