Difference between rupture and bleed

Hey everyone I've been playing the game for a while but I am having a hard time trying to figure a good team to fight sasquatch. I was under the assumption that rupture is basically a form of bleed is that correct?

Sorta. It does Physical damage, so high resists help.

How about complete immunity? I ask because my thing took damage from rupture when I fought sasquatch and to my knowledge thing is immune to bleed

Rupture isn't bleed though.

No, Rupture debuffs are not in any way related to bleed effects.

They were recently added to the game as a new type of DoT debuff (for now). No champion is yet immune to yet, but champions with high physical resistance can take less damage from it, since that is the type of damage it deals

this is a pretty good summary. bleed is a form of damage over time, also known as dot. rupture is a form of dot. rupture is not a form of bleed. bleed is not a form rupture. some of the damage over time effects are debuffs. some are passives. you can tell if there is white circle around it. feel free to tag me if you have more questions

nope. two different things

Rupture is what bleed should have been. It makes no sense for someone with high physical resistance or armor to bleed as much as someone without.

That being said: rupture is a debuff that has no specific immunities, besides generic debuff immunity, or can be shrugged off or purified.
