Why are there almost 3 weeks left?

Just noticed there are almost 3 weeks left of the event quest but there is only one part of the side quest left; why is this? Does it have something to do with the boss rushes?

    I think this month’s events are five weeks long instead of the usual four, but without more actual quests; probably because a 28-day cycle eventually drifts off the actual start of the month.

    Simple answer, count how many Wednesdays are in the month. The first Wednesday is usually when the new EQs start. If there's 5 Wednesdays in a month, you can't expect the last Wednesday of July (which is the 29th) to start the August EQ. It's not the first Wednesday of August until the 5th.
