Silver surfer v Human Torch

I was playing Map 5 AQ and using silver surfer against Human Torch. My understanding is that SS is supposed to take -100% damage from incinerate. So why did my silver surfer just die from incinerate damage?

    Human torch's own abilities give him additional percentage of incinerate damage which will go beyond the -100% damage reduction from silver surfer abilities.

    If he gets enough smolders, they are Nova flames and they are passive. His SP3 also places Nova flames. Nova flames bypass all incinerate immunity... HT, Mephisto, Sunspot, Surfer, etc.
