5 star arenas increased difficulty

in Bugs and Known Issues
Before with 5star arenas you could get an infinite streak, providing you used 4*s ranked 4 and above, and total rating of over 12k, or any 5* rank 2 and above with any rating.
Now I find when you try and use those combinations, often you have to face the “death squad“ where their rating is over 60k, and thus increasingly difficult to beat and often can make you lose your infinite streak.
So...what happened? Has there been an update where you have to use a different criteria to keep your streak? Makes it rather frustrating when trying to relax and play the game, then having random freaking hurdles of the “death squad” putting a bump in the road, meaning you have to start all over. Is this game meant to be fun, or frustrating...?

    People are constantly doing rank ups. And now that they can rank up 6-stars to rank 3, they will do it.
    And by doing so, you will have to face them in the arenas, and you will be required a team of champions with higher PI in order to not match them

    I'm experiencing the same thing, and I created a thread about it. Multiple people have been saying that the matchups are harder, even though they've gone through the deathmatches. It's only been happening after the emergency maintenance, to my knowledge.

    12k stopped working a while ago, and its not just the 12k.. rank matters too, u will have to rank up a few or use a dif combination.. 13.5k seems to be a safe number now

    Even the 4* arena has deathmatches now.

    I thought it was just me. First shot was a classic death match, AON fight. Higher PI sucked, but I could bait specials

    Crystal trove looked normal, until it started picking up stronger PI opponents. Ugh, what a grind

    Well, that basically “proves” what a bunch of other threads have been commenting on the last few days.
    Doesn’t just seem to be a case of borderline minimum like between 13k to 15k no longer being a good minimum.

    If a team of 6* 1/25 (team rating of over 31k), at Streak 50, is getting this as well (in this case, opponents 58k team FULL 6* r3) then something definitely has changed.

    Maybe the “New System” regarding Death Matches mentioned in Dev Diaries wasn’t meant to say that they will be gotten rid of (although wasn’t even supposed to be in place and active yet) ??? Maybe instead means that Death Matches May appear at any time from now on ??? (which in a sense, keep things from being boring in Arena, and makes sure you have the Skill to either keep Streak or be able to easily get back into Streak again)

    Congrats. Now the little solace I have in arena is over. This isn't just a grind anymore, it's not a "challenge," it's just as tedious as the sins in Act 6. My captured screen time is now much more reduced
