How does an Opponent in Arena start w a Sp1?

Past few days Ive seen old Man Logan start a fight w a sp1 and in another fight i looked up after a couple hits, and Vision was at a sp2 already. Wasnt paying much attention to buffs and all that buff have any if you seen this before?

    It's the synergy with Colossus, Old Man Logan starts the fight with a bar of power so long as Colossus is with him.
